VA Fashion Week Year Round Events!
* Saturday March 14, 2009 6:30pm Contemporary Art Center of VA: Pandora's Hope Fashion Show was a benefit for the Tidewater AIDS Community Taskforce, this event was conceived by teen model Courtney Cannan. Top designers including Johnathan Kayne, Michael Taylor,
Vintage Hazel by Stephon Stallings, Noihsaf by Brehon, & Paco showed their lines as
well as donated items auctioned for TAFT.
General Mills is donating .10 per pound to Feeding America providing groceries to local FoodBanks. VA Fashion Week makeover to local winners.
* Saturday May 16, 2009 2-5pm The Jewish Mother: The official VA Fashion Week Model Search and Competition for the “FACE OF VAFW 2009. Models from all over VA compete to walk the runway in VA Fashion Week 2009. Finalists in the competition will be featured in the fall shows as well as added to the Splash Model Management roster and promoted to modeling agencies in major markets. Additional prizes TBA.
* Sunday June 7 2009 4-7pm The Granby Theater: Experience the fabulous life of a celebrity at the Granby Theater: walk the red carpet, have your teeth whitened, get a massage, a facial, makeup & hair consultations, see fabulous fashions, get "shot" by the paparazzi!
* Saturday June 20 2009 9-11am NEX Oceana: Military “Dress for Success Seminar” focusing on fashion and beauty at any pay level supported by the USO . Military Spouse Appreciation Competition.
* Sunday June 21 2009 (exact time TBA) GHQ Grooming For Men: Open house reception with special offers for all active duty military.
* Sunday August 23 2009 Maya Couture: Bridal Gown auction & reception with special opportunities and surprises from VA Fashion Week & Sponsors.
